tick, tick... BOOM!
by Jonathan Larson

Have you read the GREAT Review in
THE WASHINGTON POST?

"tightly directed, energetically performed"
"quite well cast, skillfully capturing the essence of these people"
"(John) Loughney has an engaging, low-key presence... achieves full expression with his pleasantly ironic performance."
"(Josh) Doyle brings plenty of character-driven nuance to the role of Michael"
"(Kristen) Garaffo provides considerable warmth as Susan... she exudes sincerity while blowing the roof off the Industrial Strength Theatre"
"Director Todd C. Huse’s handiwork is evident in the cohesive character development, one of his trademarks."
"Lorraine Magee’s choreography is organic and character-based... aiding in storytelling"

Before writing RENT, Larson had another story to tell, his own.

tick, tick... BOOM! is a pop/rock musical that tells of a young composer, approaching a crossroads in life, his 30th birthday!

His girlfriend wants to get married, leave the city and move to Cape Cod -- *tick*

his best friend is making big bucks on Madison Avenue and wants Jon to join corporate America -- *tick*

and yet Jon is still waiting tables while trying to write the great American musical before time and life pass him by ---- *BOOM!*

This musical is an endearing and thoughtful piece, embracing the universal ideal of holding onto your dreams through life's most difficult challenges.

Produced by Richard Klare
Directed by Todd C. Huse
Music Direction by John-Michael E. d'Haviland
Choreography by Lorraine Magee

The Fairyland Detective Agency

Jack Sprat is a peeper, a gumshoe, a bloodhound for rent, a freelance flatfoot, a man on the case, a hired nose -- a detective, actually, and the only detective in Fairyland. So when femme fatale Red Riding Hood hires him to find Grandma, he knows something is up (well, actually his secretary Tinkerbelle figures it out first). Red has teamed up with Prince Charming in order to trick Jack into learning the password for the fairy godmother's magic wand. In the end, Jack figures it all out with the help of his friends, Mr. X, really Rumpelstiltskin; Humpty Dumpty, a good egg; and Pinocchio, who has a nose for news.
